Banks set to fight over Vivendi's €12bn shake up

Investment banks are poised for a tough fight to secure a share of €12bn worth of deals planned by Jean René Fourtou, chief executive of Vivendi Universal, over the next 21 months.

Vivendi currently has investment banking relationships with ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and SG. It also has signficant in-house expertise.
