Two members of a banking syndicate have poured cold water on suggestions that they will join Deutsche Bank's legal challenge to the Chapter 11 filing by Russian oil group Yukos.

Sources close to Deutsche indicated two weeks ago that the other members of the syndicate, which consists of ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, Calyon, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and JP Morgan, would back the motion in the coming days.
