Two senior credit traders at Barclays Capital have left the UK bank, according to sources familiar with the situation, after what was a challenging second quarter for the fixed-income trading desks of large investment banks.

Fernando Alvarez-Jimenez, head of distressed trading, and Alex Pointier, head of correlation credit trading, have both left Barclays Capital in London, according to sources familiar with the situation.
