Barclays Capital has hired from the former Bear Stearns a new head of US infrastructure finance, a division that will expand following its recent mandate as lead arranger for the largest US infrastructure privatisation on record.

Trace McCreary will be based in New York and report to Rick Van Zijl, co-head of US leveraged finance.
