Naguib Kheraj, one of the most senior executives at Barclays and a key aide to president Bob Diamond, is to step down as group finance director next year, leaving after a decade at the UK-based bank.

Kheraj has risen through the ranks at Barclays since being hired by Diamond as chief administrative officer of the UK banking group's investment banking business nine years ago.
