Barclays freezes millions in unvested share awards to Jes Staley amid probe linked to Jeffrey Epstein

Barclays has frozen payments to its former chief executive, Jes Staley, potentially worth tens of millions of pounds as UK regulators investigate his links with former financier and convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

The bank said that it has suspended outstanding share awards and other long-term incentive plans for Staley, who left the bank abruptly in November after six years at the helm.
