Ex-Deloitte partner joins Barclays in Libor review

A former managing partner in financial services at Deloitte will become deputy to Anthony Salz in Barclays' independent review following the Libor scandal

Exactly a month after picking Rothschild executive vice chairman Anthony Salz to lead a review into its business practices and principles following the Libor rate-rigging scandal, Barclays has drafted in former Deloitte managing partner Russell Collins as Salz's deputy.

Collins, a Cambridge University economics graduate, is a qualified chartered accountant with 30 years of experience in the financial services sector. He was managing partner of Deloitte's financial services team covering the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa until June last year, before becoming a vice chairman and member of the accountancy and consulting firm's Centre for Regulatory Strategy.
