Barclays has hired the former head of equity capital markets at Nomura, a year after he left the Japanese bank.

Ken Brown, a former Lehman Brothers banker who joined Nomura in 2008 when it acquired the US bank's European operations, has been named chair of equity capital markets for Europe and the Middle East at Barclays.
