Barclays has recruited former Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan executives and veterans from Standard Chartered and PwC to the board of its non-ring-fenced bank.

Barclays deputy chairman Sir Gerry Grimstone, who led the recruitment process, will become chairman of the board of the new unit, which will be created when the bank splits its retail and corporate and investment banking businesses in the first half of 2018.
