Barclays Wealth expands strategy unit

New business head adds bankers from Merrill Lynch and Citi as the latest in a string of hires

Barclays Wealth has made two new hires to its ultra-high net worth unit, as new head of its UHNW strategic solutions group Solomon Soquar looks to expand its capacity for handling wealthy clients.

Amaury Hendrickx, a former Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity banker, has joined as director and Jad Fadl, a former Citi banker, has joined as vice-president in Barclays Wealth's strategic solutions group. They will be based in London, reporting to Soquar, who reports to head of the UHNW division Stefanie Drews.
