Barker to leave Liquidnet

Barker, who played a major role in building Liquidnet's successful block trading business outside the US, is set to leave the company after 11 years

John Barker, the head of Liquidnet International, is leaving the buyside block trading network amid a restructure of its international operations, according to sources familiar with the matter.

John Kelly, Liquidnet's chief operating officer, told a gathering of Liquidnet's European staff yesterday that Barker had left the company, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
