Private equity firm BC Partners hired former Apollo Global Management executive Ted Goldthorpe to start a lending and debt trading operation.

The London-based firm also tapped Matthias Ederer and Henry Wang, former partners at hedge fund firms Wingspan Investment Management and Stonerise Capital Partners, respectively. The two previously worked with Goldthorpe at Goldman Sachs, where he ran a group that invested in and traded loans and distressed debt, among other roles.
