BC Partners, a London-based private equity firm, is hoping to double its money on Italian cheese and meat producer Galbani by putting the company up for sale with a €2bn ($2.4bn) price tag.

The Wall Street Journal, quoting sources close to the firm, reports that BC has appointed Deutsche Bank to advise on the sale.
