Bear Stearns has continued the recent spate of hiring for its European prime brokerage business with the appointment of a head of sales in the division.

The appointment of James Shekerdemian to the newly created role is Bear's third hire in prime brokerage in less than a month and the bank's second from rival Lehman Brothers, in the same period.
