Bear Wagner tempts Ex-Merrill Lynch Troy from retirement

Bear Wagner, the specialist market maker for the New York Stock Exchange, has persuaded a former head of securities services at Merrill Lynch to join the company rather than retire.

Tom Troy left Merrill Lynch last year intending to leave the industry after 20 years at the bank. But he changed his mind when Bear Wagner approached him to help run the company. He has joined Bear Wagner as executive vice president and senior managing director.
