Berenberg has hired a fifth senior dealmaker from rival Peel Hunt as the German lender looks to bolster its UK investment bank.

Carl Gough is joining the German lender in a senior role, according to people familiar with the matter. He has spent nearly seven years at Peel Hunt, where he is a managing director focused on real estate corporate finance.
