Berwin Leighton Paisner, the UK law firm, has boosted its private equity presence with the appointment of Geraint Lloyd from rival Osborne Clarke.

Lloyd was previously a partner in Osborne Clarke's private equity and funds group. His clients have included Matrix Securities and Close Brothers Group, which he has advised on several private equity-backed mergers and acquisitions and venture capital and real estate activities.
