BGI strengthens transition management

Barclays Global Investors, the asset management arm of Barclays, has hired Rory Tobin, previously a managing director at JP Morgan, in a new position as director of transitions for Europe.

Tobin spent two years at JP Morgan, is a former head of sales for cash equities and co-head of Pan-European equity products. Before that he was a managing director at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 14 years in a number of equity and equity-linked roles.
