Bill Harrison, is quitting as London senior partner at advisory boutique Compass Partners to become chairman and the first member of a new UK corporate finance advisory board at ING, the Dutch bank.

Until October 1997 Harrison was chief executive of Barclays de Zoete Wedd, now called Barclays Capital and the investment banking arm of Barclays Bank.
