Rod Birkett, head of the investment trust business at JP Morgan Fleming, is leaving the firm to pursue other interests.

Birkett has been responsible for the firm's investment trust business for the last four years. Prior to its merger with JP Morgan, he held positions at Fleming Investment Management, most notably in its well-regarded Japanese fund management division.
