A decade ago this week, an unknown person (or group) assuming the name Satoshi Nakamoto published a white paper that set out a peer-to-peer electronic cash system: it was the birth of the phenomenon that is bitcoin.

The entrepreneurs and business leaders who owe a debt to Nakamoto — who has managed to maintain her or his anonymity — are reflecting on the birthday of the world’s biggest cryptocurrency.
