Black business investors seek £40m to boost diversity in UK companies

Cornerstone Partners, set up three years ago to invest in black-owned businesses, is opening up to outside investors

Cornerstone Partners, an angel investor network which was set up to back black entrepreneurs in the UK, is opening up to outside investors, aiming to raise £40m in 2020.

The firm was initially launched in 2016 by a group of six black men, who pooled their funds to make a “more meaningful impact” in their communities, according to Jude Addo, one of the co-founders.
