BlackRock appoints financial institutions head

BlackRock has appointed Patrick Liedtke to lead its financial institutions group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, effective October 1. Based in London, he will develop investment solutions for insurers and manage client relationships as well as executing the firm's current strategy. He is also appointed to the global FIG leadership group and the Emea institutional executive committee. He previously held senior positions at the Geneva Association, an insurance industry think-tank.
