The chief executive of BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, said the war in Ukraine will “put an end” to globalisation and speed up the transition to new energy sources.

“We had already seen connectivity between nations, companies and even people strained by two years of the pandemic,” Larry Fink said in his annual letter to BlackRock shareholders on 24 March.
