Blackstone considers Tragus float in 2008

The Blackstone Group, the US-listed private equity backer of UK restaurant group Tragus, is considering a flotation of the dining chain next year at the earliest.

Joe Baratta, a managing director in Blackstone's London-based corporate private equity group, said an initial public offering of Tragus was the most likely exit route, but he added 2008 was the earliest it would consider a share sale.
