Blue Diamond Asset Management announced the appointment of Erik Valtonen as chief executive officer. Valtonen previously was chief investment officer of the €26bn Swedish pension fund, Tredje AP-fonden (AP3) and a member of Blue Diamond's advisory board.

He left AP3 in 2011 to establish his own consultancy business, from where he joined Blue Diamond.
