BMO Global Asset Management has hired an executive from boutique advisory firm Ondra Partners as global head of alternatives, a new role created by the firm as it brings several investment businesses under one roof.

Stewart Bennett will join the £461bn Canadian-owned fund manager on May 7 and will report directly to the chief executive Kristi Mitchem.
