BNP Paribas bond traders suffer in ‘lacklustre’ market

BNP Paribas has become the latest big investment bank to reveal a disappointing performance in its fixed income trading business as volatility falls.

In a presentation covering the French bank's results for the three months to September 30, it said its fixed income, currencies and commodities business had operated in a "lacklustre context",  pointing to what it called a "wait-and-see attitude" from clients and low volatility.
