BNP Paribas has hired a former executive from UK hedge fund Brevan Howard, who stood in this year’s London council elections, to lead its credit strategy team.

Viktor Hjort will join the French bank as  global head of credit strategy and desk analysts, effective immediately. Hjort, who is from Sweden, previously worked as the chief global credit strategist at Brevan Howard up until the end of 2017.
