BNP Paribas names loan syndications head

BNP Paribas has appointed Andrew Shapiro as head of loan syndications and trading and Charlotte Conlan as head of loan origination for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Bloomberg reported. Shapiro has spent the last eight years as head of corporate acquisition finance for the Americas in New York will move to London, replacing Julian van Kan who was promoted to head of the bank's European financial institutions group in May. Conlan will leave her current role as head of leveraged finance and media & telecom finance origination. The French bank also named Preme Balakrishnan, currently head of energy and commodities, asset and project finance, Australia, as head of project finance, succeeding Emmanuel Rogy. Rogy has been promoted to head of energy and commodity finance for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Both will be based in Paris.
