BNP Paribas has hired Peter Bainlardi, head of US strategic trading at Barclays Capital in New York, as managing director and head of proprietary interest rate trading.

Zbigniew Ryzak, head of US dollar interest rate trading at the French bank, said Bainlardi "will be responsible for identifying macroeconomic trends, establishing strategic positions and growing our overall risk profile."
