Former HSBC banker turned fintech adviser Spencer Lake to step down as chairman, but he plans to continue working with ICMA

Martin Egan, the global co-head of primary and secondary markets at BNP Paribas, is set to become the new chairman of the International Capital Market Association.

Egan will replace Spencer Lake, the former HSBC banker turned financial technology adviser, who will today announce he is stepping down as chairman at the trade body after two years in the role.
