BNY Mellon Asset Management has announced the appointment of Gartmore's former co-head of fixed income to provide support to its international sales teams, just days after another former Gartmore executive surfaced at a rival.

Simon Surtees was co-head of fixed income and a senior fund manager at Gartmore, before joining BNY Mellon at the beginning of the year, according to an statement from the company.
