A quadrupling of their personal profits from incentive schemes over the last three years has persuaded several high-profile managers to quit Baring Asset Management.

But BAM chief John Bolsover intends to stick with existing remuneration structures, believing that the potential for further fat gains in the years ahead will keep remaining staff loyal.
