Bond king Bill Gross bows out after 48 years

Pimco co-founder to focus on managing personal assets and charitable foundation

Bill Gross, the veteran investor who co-founded the world's biggest bond manager Pimco, is retiring from the investment industry.

Janus Henderson, the fund manager where Gross has worked since 2014, said on February 4 the 74-year-old will now focus on managing his personal assets and private charity, the $390m William, Jeff and Jennifer Gross Family Foundation.
