Clive Boothman is leaving Schroder Investment Management to join Old Mutual as the chief executive of the combined Capel Cure Sharp and Greig Middleton businesses.

Boothman takes over from Richard Bernays, who has been acting in that role and is becoming chairman of the merged private client outfits.
