Boris Johnson urges people not to panic buy food despite French freight suspension

Johnson said delays only affected a small amount of the food and goods coming into the UK

The Prime Minister Boris Johnson has urged people not to panic buy food despite France's ban on freight travelling from Dover to France which has caused worries about the UK's food supplies.

“British supermarkets have said their supply chains are strong and robust so everyone can continue to shop normally,” Johnson told a press conference on 21 December.
