Guy Bowles, head of institutional marketing, has quit Newton Investment Management in order to study for a mathematics and finance MA at Imperial College in London.

The loss of Bowles, who has been at Newton for many years, comes as two other executives also leave the firm. John Barrett, deputy head of compliance, is also leaving to become head of compliance at a rival firm, whose name has yet to emerge. Bridget Baxter, director of institutional client services, is leaving for family reasons.
