BP Investments, the in-house asset management arm that runs the £13bn (€20.6bn) BP pension fund in the UK, has appointed Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, the US-based environmental and social research and advisory firm.

Innovest will provide company and industry sustainability research to BP Investments across its entire portfolio of assets. The research will focus on companies' risk, performance and strategic positioning with regard to environmental and social issues, with a particular emphasis on their impact on the portfolio companies' financial performance and competitiveness.
