Since June 24 last year, firms across the City of London have been pondering their Brexit options: do we have to move jobs out of the UK or not? The government’s Article 50 White Paper provides some clarity – firms need to get on with planning to move.

Up to now, location decisions have been driven by business considerations alone. But from April 2019 authorisation to do business in the UK will no longer give you access to the markets of the EU 27 – the so-called “passport” will be lost.
