Key decisions taken late by the UK government threaten to make the start of 2021 challenging as traders, businesses and citizens adjust to life outside the European Union, a cross-party group of MPs has warned.
The Brexit Committee said in a 19 December report it has “significant concerns” about the readiness of the UK for the end of the Brexit transition period on 31 December, and called for a set of “robust contingency plans ready for 1 January”.
