For the EU, 2015 was not a good year.

Ukraine, the Greek financial crisis, the mass migrations, and at the end of the year terrorism and the threat to Schengen - all of these combined to cause much anguish for Europe's politicians in 2015. Nor have any of them shown signs of receding in 2016, so we can expect them to remain on the Brussels agenda in the coming months.
