EU and UK agree to ‘go the extra mile’ in Brexit talks

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen have agreed to continue Brexit talks  “to see whether an agreement can even at this late stage be reached”.

Johnson and von der Leyen had agreed last week to make “a firm decision... about the future of the talks” by 13 December.
