Ray Dalio, chairman and chief investment officer of $160bn funds group Bridgewater Associates, is an increasingly worried man. The reason? Donald Trump's preference to pursue conflict rather than harmony.

The US president's decision to pull his country out of the Paris climate accord - agreed by no fewer than 195 countries - is the latest example of his "increasingly clear patterns of behaviour", Dalio wrote in a June 5 piece on LinkedIn that outlined his thoughts on Trump's policies.
