Britannic Asset Management, the UK investment house, has laid down the foundations for its push into the US institutional investment market with the acquisition of Blairlogie Capital Management.
Blairlogie, which manages roughly $800m (€879m) for US and Australian institutions and was owned by ABN Amro Asset Management, represents the start of Britannic Asset Management's overseas expansion plans. The investment arm has been looking at joint ventures or acquisitions outside of its core UK market, said Leslie McIntosh, chief executive.
