Brunswick, the London-based public relations firm, has stepped down as adviser to John Duffield's fund management company New Star Asset Management.

It has done so after sending journalists envelopes containing copies of fund manager Jupiter's accounts for 2000, plus a summary to which Jupiter has strongly objected.
