A nine-storey office building in the heart of the Square Mile is expected to come on the market after telecoms group BT revealed it is to move its London headquarters as part of a restructuring plan that also includes cutting thousands of jobs.

The company announced its strategy update to the market on Thursday, saying it would invest more in fibre and mobile infrastructure, and look to cut costs elsewhere in the business by £1.5bn over the next three years.
