The bidding for a lunch with billionaire investor Warren Buffett on eBay smashed last year's record on Friday, trebling last year's winning bid at over 50,000 times more than the average cost of eating out in New York.
The winning bidder for three courses with the Sage of Omaha hit $2.11m (â¬1.3m), comfortably exceeding last yearâs winning bid of over $600,000, paid for by a group including US-based investor Mohnish Pabrai and Guy Spier, who runs the Aquamarine hedge fund.
