John Ketteley, executive chairman of Eleco, misses the cut and thrust of investment banking. Having spent nearly 25 years working in the City of London, he would love to have more contact with the bankers and investors among whom he has spent so much of his career.
It is surprising, given Ketteley's network of contacts, that Eleco's share register does not include more of the larger institutional names. The trouble is that Eleco, the building materials and software firm that Ketteley joined five years ago to turn around, is too small to attract much attention from the financial community.
