Ark, the children’s charity founded by hedge fund financiers including Arpad Busson, Paul Marshall and Ian Wace, last night raised £14.5m at its annual gala fundraiser in London.
The event was held in a marquee outside Kensington Palace, and attracted the usual array of film stars, musicians and financiers. According to the Daily Mail this morning, attendees included Carey Mulligan, the star of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, property tycoon Nick Candy with partner Holly Valance, and Busson's two sons.
